CURCI

Curci (Ker see), born in Fort Collins, Colorado, is the epitome of the new era of Hip Hop artists. Heavily influenced by his environment growing up in Colorado, Curci has encompassed what “ the urban lifestyle” has evolved into over recent years. One of the few buzzing Hip Hop artists making noise in the music industry today, with his dope array of talent… Curci is here to stay.

From early on in his childhood, Curci loved everything about the culture of Hip Hop. He would study lyrics, hanging photos of his favorite rappers on the wall with cut up CD covers. He explains, “Once I memorized the lyrics to my my favorite songs, and could rap along with the music, I branched out and started writing my own lyrics at the age of 8.”

Heavily inspired by artists such as Kanye West and Pharrell for their all encompassing talent and business sense, Curci brings all aspects of his life from fashion to skateboarding into his music and lifestyle. “Kanye inspired me a lot while I was growing up, from his fashion sense to the music and blending it all into one. Pharrell likewise inspired me with his skate team and clothing lines, he made me feel like there was a place for me and what I want to create in the music industry.”

After his first solo release in 2012, Curci fell tired of the battling egos in Hip Hop and headed to Japan for some soul searching. He states, “Japan’s culture showed me that I can spread my message to anyone while remaining true to my individuality.”

From 2012 to 2014, Curci released 3 mixtapes ending with “Forever Summer,” a huge step that boosted his industry presence and propelled his Hip Hop career. After the first mixtape, Curci created his own ‘League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” called “Conscious Minds for Righteous Revolution” inviting talented artists who aligned with Curci’s conscious way of crafting music. His criteria: be a straight up, professionally focused and distinct artist whose individuality separates them from standard artists.

In late 2016, Curci’s first commercial project titled “Figuring It Out” was sold in stores across the US and UK. Produced exclusively by AC3Beats, the album has earned millions of streams through platforms such as Spotify, iTunes and Pandora. By the end of 2017, Curci started a year long wrap-up series titled “Robots and Rocketships.” The idea behind the project was to release all of the singles and collaborations that were not already on an album. The Robots and Rocketships series has continued every year since.
